It is important to note, that despite that I pay fuel and that is what is being calculated here. I also spend my valuable time driving.
If I am on the road for 3 hours one way to Kona for example, then I will also need to come back to where I live in Pahoa. That is 6 hours on the road, and about $50 in fuel.
This is why I charge $100 to go to Kona. I make less than $10 per hour after expenses.
Whatever the cost of fuel shown below is, times it by two to get an idea of how much I pay for expenses, and then add a value for my time investment in driving this distance.
